On this page, the user can view the details of the current firmware, the timestamp when the firmware was last updated, and update the firmware of the device.

Updating Firmware Online

Battery Buddy Tool lets you update the firmware of your device using the updates available online. These updates are official releases from Vecmocon and are meant to improve the overall functionality of your device.

Before updating the device’s firmware, check whether a firmware update is available for your device. The Battery Buddy app automatically checks for the latest update available online. In case you want to check the updates again, just click the ‘Check again’ button in the ‘Check Firmware Update Online’ section.

In case there is an update available online for your device, follow the steps below to update.

1. Go to the ‘Firmware’ tab from the main navigation bar.
2. Click on the ‘View update’ button
3. Review the firmware details like the version and changelogs.
4. Click ‘Proceed’ if everything seems fine.
5. The app will now show the warnings. Read the warnings carefully.
6. Click on the ‘Update Firmware’ button.
7. Click ‘OK’ once the installation is successful.
8. The Battery Buddy App will take you to the dashboard after this.

Updating Firmware Manually

Apart from updating the firmware online, you can update the firmware manually by uploading a firmware file. Although we highly recommend you update the firmware online, you can use this method if you have a firmware file and login credentials available to you.

To update the firmware manually, follow the steps below.

1. Go to the ‘Firmware’ tab from the main navigation bar.
2. Click on the ‘Update manually’ button
3. Enter your PIN to authenticate if you are logged in to the app. If you are not logged in, the app will ask you to log in.
4. Once authenticated, select the firmware file.
5. Review the firmware details like the version and changelogs.
6. Click ‘Proceed’ if everything seems fine.
7. The app will now show the warnings. Read the warnings carefully.
8. Click on the ‘Update Firmware’ button.
9. Click ‘OK’ once the installation is successful.
10. The Battery Buddy App will take you to the dashboard after this.

What to do if the firmware installation fails repeatedly?

• Check if your device is connected properly to your PC.
• Check if the file is OK and not corrupted.
