Disconnecting a Device

When you’re finished monitoring, configuring, or updating your battery system, it is recommended to properly disconnect the device using the application interface.

This ensures a clean shutdown of communication and prevents potential data loss or logging issues.

How to Safely Disconnect from a Device

Follow the steps below to disconnect a battery device from the Battery Buddy desktop application:

  1. Open the Device Info Panel
    • Click on the Device Info icon located in the top-right corner of the window (next to the Settings icon).
    • This will open a side panel containing device-specific details and options.
  2. Click on the “Disconnect” Button
    • Within the side panel, locate the red “Disconnect” link in the top-right corner.
    • Click on it to safely terminate the communication between the application and the connected device.
  3. Return to the Connection Screen
    • After disconnection, the application will automatically redirect you to the Device Connection page.
    • You can now connect another device or close the application.

Note: For a complete list of device specifications visible in the side panel, refer to the Device Detail section.

Tip: Always disconnect from within the app before unplugging the USB/BLE connection physically.
