‘16-17
ELECTRIFICATION BEGINS
Vecmocon, an innovative company incubated at IIT Delhi, received grants from both IIT Delhi and the Department of Science and Technology (DST). The company began its research and development efforts focusing on Battery Management Systems (BMS), aiming to advance energy storage solutions.
‘18
DEVELOPMENT
Vecmocon's BMS core product was developed and became ready. Napino joined as a strategic investor, helping to strengthen the company's manufacturing capabilities.
‘19
LAUNCH
Vecmocon sold 500 BMS units to its first customer, marking a significant milestone in its growth.
‘21
LAUNCH
Vecmocon launched its 16S BMS and spent 8 months onboarding its first OEM customer, BGauss, to establish a key partnership.
‘22
ACCEPTANCE
Vecmocon raised $5.2M from Blume Ventures and Tiger Global, fueling its growth and initiating team expansion to support its scaling efforts.
‘23-24
GROWTH
Vecmocon launched three new products: the BMS 17S-24S, 1.5 kW Charger, and VIM Lite. The company expanded its team to over 120 members, serving 21 customers and achieving an annual recurring revenue (ARR) of INR 275M.
